TravelQuest International … A Travel
Industry Leader
The birth of what is today, TravelQuest International,
is, as the Beatles wrote, " a long and winding road".
Throughout my childhood, my father Yervant (Edward) Kaprielian owned a travel
agency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Moving the family in 1970 to San Diego,
California, he created a group tour company, Travel Bug International. In 1982,
after some university studies I started working with
my
father, operating local group tours
throughout Southern California. With
my personal interest in astronomy,
archeology and natural history, over
the years my father and I evolved
Travel Bug into a company
specializing in educational group
travel.
Years went by, my father retired, and in
1996 Travel Bug became TravelQuest. Since
1996, TravelQuest has become one of the most
successful astronomical tour companies in
the world. From chasing the elusive aurora
borealis to witnessing a total solar
eclipse, we have taken our clients from the
North Pole to the South Pole, from Africa to
Europe to Asia to the America’s.
In the coming years we plan to more actively
develop programs that focus on other areas
of natural history, like archeology and
geology, along with social growth.
Quite often, half
the travelers on a TravelQuest tour have
traveled with us before. We are proud of
that fact. It tells us that people like how
we plan and operate our tours. Our travelers
come from all walks of life and from all
over the world. And while we cater
predominately with a North American
clientele, it is not uncommon for us to have
travelers with us from South America,
Europe, Asia, and Africa.

new destinations in the company of fellow
travelers that share a passion for our
natural world.
